Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty also called as tummy tuck, is a cosmetic plastic surgery which makes the abdomen firm. People opt for this surgery after pregnancy or major weight loss, both of which result in sagging tissues.

The procedure involves making an incision from hip to hip just above the pubic area and another to free the navel from the skin surrounding it. The detached skin exposes muscle and fascia. Sutures are used to tighten the muscle fascia wall. The skin that is in excess is removed and remaining skin is used to cover the defect. Liposuction is often employed here. The area is dressed and excess fluid is drained out.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has been gaining ever increasing popularity thanks to the technological advances made in the field. Essentially, there are two types of plastic surgeries: reconstructive and cosmetic. Reconstructive plastic surgery mainly deals with removing deformities which may be genetic or caused by accident. These surgeries are mainly performed when the deformity starts to interfere with the proper functioning of the body part.
On the other hand, cosmetic plastic surgery, or aesthetic surgery as it is called, is performed mainly to improve on appearance by transforming a small feature. Plastic surgery may include changing facial features, removing excessive fat or shaping certain parts of the body.

The new film ‘Smile Pinky’ is making waves since it was nominated for the Oscars. Reconstructive plastic surgery helped the little Pinky cure her cleft lip and flash her lovely smile.

There are many children who are born with a cleft lip and palate. Such plastic surgeries are like a blessing for them as they do not cost much. Pinky was treated free of cost by an NGO in India.

I think all those divas out there should stand up and take notice of this and reduce spending on their sculpted bodies! Will they?

What do you think about this, friends?

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, or ‘nose job’ or ‘nose shaping’ as it is popularly called is a plastic surgery procedure performed on the nose to enhance its appearance. The word ‘Rhinoplasty’ has been derived from Greek words  Rhinos, ‘Nose’ and Plassein, ‘to shape.’
Reshaping of one’s nose can completely transform the balance of one’s facial features and can dramatically changes one’s appearance. The aesthetic improvements that a plastic surgeon can create with the surgical procedure of rhinoplasty include decreasing or increasing the size of the nose, altering the tip or bridge of the nose, and narrowing or changing the shape of the nostrils.

Liposuction

Liposuction is also known as ‘lipoplasty,’ ‘liposculpture suction lipectomy’ or just ‘lipo.’ It is the surgical removal of fat deposits located between the muscle and the skin from areas which are considered problematic like belly, thighs, hips, arms, etc. A stainless steel suction tube called a cannula is used in this procedure to suck out the fat from within the body.
The Liposuction procedure may vary from person to person and on what your cosmetic goals are. It is amongst the most popular plastic surgery procedure across the world. The technique used has seen many technological advances in the recent past and has become amongst the safest surgical procedure.
